Makeup-Meltdown from our Beauty Expert
Summer is here, cupcakes, and that means makeup-meltdown for many of us. Of course, if you must wear a full face of makeup everyday, (and some of us have to), primers and setting powders are the way to go. However, if you have the option of paring it down, I suggest you do; you’d be surprised at how put-together you can look with only two or three products. The key, though, is figuring out which ones you can’t live without. For me, I can escape the house with only bronzer, mascara, and a dab of gloss and still look great. It will take a few times getting used to, especially if you’re accustomed to seeing yourself with much more, but trust me, you’re skin will be able to breath better and if you sweat, you won’t have to worry about losing your whole face.

Check this out: there is no national standard to regulate what the term “natural” means, so companies get to decide internally what their definition will be. This means that they can make those guidelines as stringent or as lax as their own morals; I don’t know about you, cupcakes, but I don’t necessarily trust some bigwig CEO to value quality, eco-friendly ingredients over saving a couple bucks on the cheap stuff. Just be aware and read your labels; stay tuned for my column on chemicals to avoid if you’re trying to go green!
