Sample Sale Shopping??

Have you ever been to a Sample Sale? They can be quite overwhelming, but I’ve found some amazing pieces for great prices! You just have to prep in advance.

v Make sure you know the exact address including floor/suite number. Sometimes they’re held in office buildings, or random warehouses and they don’t always post signs outside.
o If there’s a phone number, call in advance and make sure you make an appointment, make a reservation, or get placed on the guest list +1 (you know you’re probably going to bring someone with you)
§ (Keep that number on you the day of the Sale in case you can’t find the location.)
v Map it out. If you’re going to a few Sample Sales in one day, make sure that you utilize your time efficiently. Don’t spend too much time in one Sale because you might miss out on the next one.
o Comfy Clothes are key! Low shoes, Sneaks and Uggs – highly recommended! Also.. They rarely have dressing rooms, so keep that in mind in case you want to try things on. Universal clothes like leggings and tanks are great for trying clothes on over.
v “The early bird catches the worm.” The earlier you get there, the more choices you have. Later in the Sale, everything is not as organized; however, usually they want to get rid of as much stuff as possible. What does that mean for you? DISCOUNTS!
o Don’t go during lunch 11am-2pm, because that’s when everyone is going to go also.

v FINAL SALE! Check your stuff before you pay, because there are no refunds, exchanges, changing of your mind.. Any holes and missing buttons could mean additional discounts if you’re good at bargaining..
v Cash only. Very rarely do Sample Sales accept credit cards, so determine your budget, and bring that amount of cash.
o Just because it’s a Sample Sale doesn’t mean it’s a good deal. That merchandise is there for a reason. If the price was right in stores and it didn’t sell, it just means that no one wanted it! Being a Name brand doesn’t make it look any nicer!

v Make it social. Bring a friend and get their opinion before spending all your rent money on a bag.
