One of the best ways to save money is to make the products you have last longer. The easiest way to accomplish this—use less. Now I’ve already suggested thinning out your foundation with moisturizer, but why not forgo base altogether? I mean, do you really want to wear a full face of foundation during the summer? As soon as you step outside, it starts melting off! Plus, it’s so hot under all of that makeup. Instead, try dabbing concealer on the necessary areas, brushing on bronzer to even out skin a bit and provide a glow, and sweep on a few coats of mascara as your summertime look. It saves time, money, and removes the need to buy a separate foundation for you tanned summer skin!

Summer is here, cupcakes, and that means makeup-meltdown for many of us. Of course, if you must wear a full face of makeup everyday, (and some of us have to), primers and setting powders are the way to go. However, if you have the option of paring it down, I suggest you do; you’d be surprised at how put-together you can look with only two or three products. The key, though, is figuring out which ones you can’t live without. For me, I can escape the house with only bronzer, mascara, and a dab of gloss and still look great. It will take a few times getting used to, especially if you’re accustomed to seeing yourself with much more, but trust me, you’re skin will be able to breath better and if you sweat, you won’t have to worry about losing your whole face.
